Vasu Ganesh

Software developer. Musician. Thinker.

About Me

Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Vasu Ganesh, I'm a full-stack software developer and hobbyist musician. Here on my website you can check out some of the projects I've been working on in my free time.

I graduated from Missouri Univerisity of Science & Technology in 2021 with a bachelor's in Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and Computer Engineering. While attending Missouri S&T, I was very involved with the college's radio station 89.7 FM KMNR; I hosted several radio shows and completed terms as Chief Engineer and Station Manager of the radio station. My time at KMNR provided me with the opportunity to combine my passions for computers with music in a way that benefitted the local community, and I continue to carry those experiences with me years after graduating.

In addition to working as a developer, I'm currently pursuing a master's in Computer Science from Georgia Tech with a focus on Machine Learning. I've been interested in researching ways that software and artificial intelligence can be used for the benefit of society in a world that's increasingly reliant on such technology and look forward to one day contributing to this vast field of knowledge.

Thanks for visiting and I hope that you find my projects interesting!

Projects

Below are a couple of my favorite projects I have worked on. You can find a more comprehensive list of my software projects on my GitHub profile.

suckfm.com

I designed the website for a Midwestern music collective called SuckFM, of which I am also a member.

KLAP4

The fourth iteration of KMNR's Library Access Program, KLAP4 is an application made to catalog and provide information about a radio station's music library. Features include the ability to make playlists, an audio player that can stream music from local files, and extensive data on the types of music in the library.

RollaBot

A small project I started in order to learn more about artificial intelligence, RollaBot studies tweets made by its followers and uses Markov chains to generate new tweets.
